Hi, and thank you for visiting our website. I am Dr. Jeff Powers, and I work with my wife Dr. Diana Powers. We are located in San Mateo near the crossroads of El Camino Real and highway 92 in the Borel Financial/Bank Building.

Meet the Staff

• Sabrina - Scheduling Coordinator and Financial Coordinator. Sabrina has been in our front office for 5 years. Previously she was a dental assistant before moving into her administrative position. Sabrina has been in dentistry for over 20 years.
• Kathie - Scheduling Coordinator and Hygiene Coordinator. Kathie has been with us for 5 years. She has been in dentistry for almost 40 years and is well versed in solving insurance questions.
• Raquel - Financial Coordinator and Receptionist: Raquel is a new addition to our office and has been with us for a year.
• Kim - Registered Dental Hygienist. Kim has been with our offices since 2001, and has been in the dental field for more than 30 years. Kim is very thorough and has a gentle touch.
• Hermin - Registered Dental Hygienist. Hermin has been in our office since she received her license in 2006. You will love the way your teeth and mouth feel after a through cleaning by our highly trained hygienists. Hermin is fluent in Farsi.
• Hana-Registered Dental Assistant: Hana has been an RDA since 1977 and has been Dr. Jeff Powers' assistant since 1997. She provides outstanding care in a friendly, effervescent manner. She finds building long-term relationships with her patients to be among the most rewarding aspects of her position. Hana is fluent in Korean
• Jennifer-Registered Dental Assistant: Jennifer has been Dr Diana Powers' assistant since 2001. Jennifer has a very calm soothing demeanor that helps her patients to relax. Jennifer has assisted our patients who speak Mandarin and Cantonese.

We are a Restorative General Dental practice. We provide Full Service Restorative and Reconstructive Dental Care from simple Cleanings, Fillings and Crowns to Implant Restorations and Full Smile Makeovers with Lightening, Veneers and all-Ceramic Crowns. Aside from the Restorative and Esthetic dentistry we provide, we work with a team of excellent Specialists that are among the most prestigious dentists in the state.

White Fillings: We use high-strength Resin or Porcelain to repair teeth instead of the older silver-mercury fillings. Our Tooth Colored Fillings look and feel great while blending in perfectly with your teeth.

We are in a new, comfortable, state of the art facility, that allows us the very latest in technology. Our administrative area is equipped with a computer network that allows electronic transmission of dental insurance claims and email capability of x-rays and digital photos to dental specialists globally We offer digital x-rays that are more accurate and comfortable, with up to 85% less radiation. With no chemical processing needed, digital technology helps keep the environment safe from chemical disposals. Along with digital x-rays, we use a digital SLR camera to document and discover details within your mouth for a thorough and accurate diagnosis.With every comprehensive exam we include the ViziLite Plus oral cancer screening test at no additional charge. ViziLite Plus uses technology that has proven successful in identifying soft tissue abnormalities in other areas of the body. A ViziLite Plus exam is particularly important if you are at increased risk for developing oral cancer. We also offer the option to straighten your teeth invisibly with the Invisalign system. This clear, comfortable and removable alternative is quick and easy compared to traditional braces. Identifying and restoring cavities at the earliest stage possible is vital. We use the Diagnodent Early Cavity Detection Laser to detect decay more precisely and sooner than in the past,

We have over 26 years in postdoctoral education. We are members of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, which focuses extensively on high quality continuing Dental Education, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the San Mateo County Dental Society. Dr. Powers has taken many Advanced Dental Courses with some of the world's most prestigious dentists at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida; the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education; The Spear Institute; the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Education. Additionally, we are members of PIADS, the Peninsula Institute for Advanced Dental Studies; a Dental Implant study club in Palo Alto, CA.
