I Think I Found It

It is so difficult to find high quality doctors that you trust. I think that I have found a great dentist in San Francisco that is knowledgeable, trustworthy and gentle. Her name is Naomi Carolino, D.D.S. ...

... Dr. Carolino was the most gentle dentist I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I have been to many dentists, as I have soft teeth and need a lot of work.

I recently lost a crown and Dr. Carolino is replacing it for me. She gave me all of my options and even had her office manager come in to tell me the costs before the work was started. I really appreciated this because it is an expensive procedure. While Dr. Carolino was working on my tooth she was very aware of any discomfort that I may have. Remarkably, other than the anesthetic shots, I had no pain. She let me know what she was doing and how long it would take, so I could prepare myself. I left the office feeling well taken care of and completely pain-free. After the procedure, Dr. Carolino asked if I would like any Tylenol or Advil for pain. I wasn't in any pain, but it was a nice gesture.

To top it off, that night I received a call from Dr. Carolino. She just wanted to check and see how I was feeling. Wow, that's a great dentist

Every experience I have had there has been very good. From the receptionist to the dentist, Dr. Carolino. She is easy to talk to, fast, but not hurried and gentle. If you live in Noe or close by this is a great neighborhood dentist to go to.

After deferring dental care for way too long, I found Dr Carolino. Her care is thorough and meticulous with minimal discomfort. She has an easy manner that instills compassion and confidence. She always checks in to see how I am with a procedure or if I need to take a break. Very attentive, emphasizes a pain free experience. A root canal and crown, an inlay,and a dozen or so fillings later, my biggest regret is not having found her sooner (and not brushing more).

Me and my 2 daughters are new patience of Dr. Naomi Carolino. My daughters who are 4 and 6 were afraid of going to a dentist. But after the visit with Dr. Carolino, they are looking forward to going back. Dr and the staff made us feel like a family and made sure my girls were comfortable at all times. Dr. Carolino, her gentle touch made them not afraid of the dentist. What I liked the best, is that Naomi took her time with every one of us, explained what she was doing and what will be done in the future.
I recomend Dr. Naomi Carolino to everybody.

Dr. Carolino is a great dentist. She has a way of making you feel comfortable, even in the most uncomfortable situations. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 3 years and was hesitant to go back. I thought that it would be a painful process because of the lack or care that I have had over the years. Dr Carolino assured me that she would go as slow as I needed. She was very gentle and always made sure I was comfortable with what was being done. What made me feel the most comfortable is that she knows teeth, I have stains and other markings that most dentist think are cavities but she knew the difference right away. Overall she is the best dentist I have come across.

Dr. Carolino wowed me. It's one thing to find a dentist who is an expert, who is up to speed on all the most advanced treatments, who is gentle, or who makes you comfortable, but it's rare to find all of those traits in one person. She goes the extra mile for our family every time we go in, whether it's taking extra time for a cleaning, discussing preventative care with us, or helping us navigate pesky insurance issues. We are also very glad to have someone who is so good with kids and look forward to sending our son to her when he gets some teeth! We know he will have only the best first dental visit experiences with Dr. Carolino.

I can't say enough about Dr. Carolino. She is so smart and interested in your oral health. She uses the latest procedures and digital xrays. If you aren't insured, her front office will work with you. All of her staff are polite and respectful. I've been to many a dentist and she is at the top. A real star. Her office is also very focused on sterile technique. No cross contamination from mouth to lamp to computer, etc.

• Sabrina - Front Office Coordinator. Sabrina was born and raised in San Francisco. She has been providing customer service for over 10 years, with 4 years in dentistry. She plans to continue her education to further advance her dental career. She is excellent at what she does, and she is happy to assist you with any of your scheduling or financial needs. Outside the office, she enjoys time with her family, movies, and bike riding.
• Evelyn - my Registered Dental Assistant.
• Evelyn is from Guatemala, and has lived in San Francisco for 8 years. In the number of years that she has been in dentistry, she has met many different people, and has provided Spanish translation for those patients who need it. While she assists the doctor, she also keeps each patient comfortable during their dental treatment. When not at work, she enjoys movies, listens to rock music, and spends time with her fiance.
