Happy Patient

I met Doctor S. Baldwin about 30 plus years ago as a dental student. Long sun-bleached hair, this student doctor would "run" completing his patients as quickly and efficiently as possible. His mannerism showed confidence and knowledge. I lost sight of Dr. Baldwin after his graduation. After a dentist destroyed my tooth, I tried to find Dr. Baldwin. From his school to other dentist, I found him in Berkeley, CA. I need not search for any other efficient dentist. Later, Dr. Baldwin married a wonderful, efficient, and knowledgedable dentist to mirror himself. Thank you to you both.

It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to report how absolutely pleased I am with the dental care I have received, for over ten years, from Dr. Baldwin. When I came to my first appointment, I had been looking for a dentist with a lot of experience in several major areas at once. Among other things, he helped me to avoid having an unnecessary root canal that had been recommended by another dentist, and guided me effectively concerning my temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) problem. After having needed two crowns for cracked teeth previously in a relatively short period of time, it was important that my dentist be able to respond to unexpected developments from a solid background. He is not only intelligent but also a masterful communicator, who listens well and explains options clearly, and his level of dedication to my well-being enables me to look forward to quality, comfort, and a positive experience every time I return to his office.

Dr. Steven Baldwin, whom i refer to as Dr. Miracle, became my dentist by happy accident when i accidently called his office when i meant to call another dentist. How fortunate for me , because he is the best dentist on this planet, if not the universe. His gentle touch, compassionate bedside manner, up-to-date knowledge to educate me of all my options, honest evaluations of what i can afford, skilled expertise in all areas of dentisty and comfortable office all add up to a dentist you will love to visit. Yes, that's right, i said "love." How many people say they love to visit their dentist?
My advice is: if you are looking for an awesome dentist, Dr. Baldwin is your man.

I love this husband and wife team (Cynthia Scipioni). They do everything themselves. There is no reception staff or hygienists. They do all their own cleanings (by hand), billing, making appointments, etc. Steven is very conservative with treatments, including x-rays. He is also very open to feedback and questions. If he doesn't explain something, he wants you to ask. Loved them! And they have a nice comfortable office space. Was referred to them by friends, and will recommend to my friends.

They also have a San Francisco office where they have Saturday appointments.
Excellent and friendly care.

I have been going to Steve Baldwin for over 20 years (since I was a young pup) and I have mixed feeling about writing such a positive review about him and his wife. I am afraid that if the world finds out my secret (that I've discovered by accident the best dentist in all of Northern Ca.) that I will have to wait longer to see him.

But it's better to give than to receive, right?

Steve saved me from further expensive and ultimately unsuccessful gum surgery that was recommended by all the dental experts I had contacted. Meeting him was a turning point in my gum health. Using simple no cost methods at home my gums today, 6 years later, are healthy as can be. The half of my mouth that had gum surgery still hurts. He won't try to sell you expensive solutions when simple methods will work better.

i like to call this person "Doctor Miracle" because he has the gentlest touch, the best chair-side manner, options without judgement and all affordable solutions to all my dental challanges. And trust me, i am a dental challange.
His empathy is only matched by his wife, Dr. Ms. Miracle because they both are the best of the best.
Please know that i was trying to call another denistry number 10 years ago, but found my miracle by an accident of a misdial. What a happy accident. They promised me my life would be so much better without tooth pain and they were so right.

If you want a "relatively" painless and most compassionate solution to dental care, you must see my Dr.s Miracle.

I've been going to Dr. Baldwin for over 20 years and wouldn't think of going to any one else. He's very gentle, communicates well what he is seeing in your oral health, and is honest about your options. What plan is decided, he provides excellent skills in taking care of your mouth without discomfort. He's also helped in moments of crisis by giving advice and getting in me in his schedule as soon as he could. He has great skills and is an excellent dentist. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!
