For over 20 years, Dr. William Ellis has been a pioneer in Cataract and lens implant surgery as well as refractive surgery to alleviate the need for eye glasses and contact lens. Dr. William Ellis was among the first to perform the Lasik procedure in which the front surface of the eye known as the cornea is precisely reshaped using the excimer laser to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Dr. Ellis trained in ophthalmology at Stanford University and prior to this received a degree in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley. Not only is Dr. Ellis one of the world's experts in laser vision correction, but his engineering background entitles him to be called an expert in excimer laser technology as well. Over 40,000 Lasik procedures have been performed at Ellis Eye Laser Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Ellis received post residency training in ophthalmic plastic surgery and provides many age rejuvenating procedures such as laser skin resurfacing, dermal skin fillers and Botox.
